It’s always such a joy to come across an old church kneeler looking for a new home. This one picturing a ship at sea has to be my favourite to date. 

It would make a lovely kneeler to use while setting the fire or would be ideal to rest against in a reading nook. The two hanging hooks mean that it can also be displayed on the wall as a decorative piece.

I particularly love that the needlework crafter’s information is detailed on the reverse, giving us a small insight into its past life. This tells us that it was dedicated to ‘those who perished’. Such a special little piece of history.
