STORIES OF places, people, nature & nostalgia

Hi, I’m Katie.

A photographer, writer and shopkeeper living in a little old cottage in the Wiltshire countryside.

I love nothing more than seeking out places that are full of life, thanks to efforts taken to preserve their histories and character, their connections with nature, or their advocacy for a simple and more sustainable way of living.

For as long as I remember the coastline has been my place of solitude; somewhere to collect my thoughts. It is certainly where my mind drifts most often. I think this stems from my summers as a child, spent in an old grey house overlooking the Cornish coast. The house sadly no longer stands but has left me with a love for wild locations and rustic interiors. A place or object with a storied past is, to me, irresistible.

The Neap & Spring journal is somewhere to celebrate the places, hideaways, people, and projects that I’ve stumbled across and found special. Now and again you might also find interior and garden musings, tales of second-hand sourcing, occasional fiction writings, and other creative explorations. All mostly inspired by nature and nostalgia.

I’m currently in the process of reviving the journal over on Substack.

More of my photography, words and collaborations can be found on Instagram.
