Hand-sewn patchwork quilt. Traditional eight point star pattern in colourful diamond blocks on an orange background.
It’s a great size for a double bed to provide an extra layer on those cooler nights, or would be equally lovely to snuggle up in on the sofa.
It has been well used and reflects that in small imperfections throughout, detailed in the photos. Signs of its age include faded fabric down the middle where it looks to have been folded and stored, along with a number of small stains. I think these spots of wear add to the charm and character of this beauty which has many more years of warmth and cosiness to offer.
