Limited edition gold tin seashell decorations by artist Megan Fatharly - an exclusive Neap & Spring commission.

Each shell has been hand-drawn using a sharp drawing tool onto a piece of tin. They are suspended from hand-dyed ribbon and come in a kraft recycled gift box. Available individually or as a set of four.

The decorations are handmade, lightweight and delicate. Each is unique so they vary slightly in terms of size, design and ribbon colour. They roughly measure around 7 x 8cm.

Pre-orders: The single oyster shell and set of four decorations will be available to pre-order until midnight on Sunday 3rd December. They will be made to order and delivered to you before the 17th of December (UK shipping). 

About the collaboration: When it comes to decking the halls, I like to hang vintage glass baubles passed down from my grandparents alongside twine-strung shells found at low tide. The vivid reflections of the glass paired with the peaceful pearly glow of the seashells always feels like a very happy combination. Meg and I have designed a set of decorations inspired by this little tradition. We hope they make you think of a brisk midwinter walk along a shell-strewn shoreline.

About the artist: Megan Fatharly was born in Edinburgh and grew up by the coast. She graduated in 2018 with a BA in Drawing from Falmouth University. Megan is inspired by the mundane intricacies of the everyday. She experiments with printmaking, drawing and collage, creating narratives through texture, layering and surface manipulation. Megan is based in Falmouth and swims often in the sea close to her home and studio.
